I want to make myself a training halter like those sold by RM, but can't find a close up picture of one to copy. I thought I'd got the gist of it from a video of him, but went down to the yard to make it and couldn't seem to get it right!
Would be really grateful if anybody has a photo of one or can link me to somewhere with one.
Thanks!

I bought mine from Natural Horsemanship, think it was £17.50 for that price It's probably far easier to buy one!! lol!!

To be honest I think its best not to do that. From what I remember he uses special super slippy sailing rope as its vital the pressure releases the split second its meant to.

I'd think you'd be best buying either off ebay of NH site as someone else has suggested.

Ditto that above you need to buy marine rope as the whole principal is pressure and release. The rope needs to be slippy so that as soon as the horse submits the pressure is released.

I've a genuine one and its paid for itself a hundred times over. I've also washed it a few times and its as good as new.

I wouldnt risk trying to make one.

They are worth the money, it as turned my lad around manner wise on the ground, probably the best £30 i spent.

I bought it from his site direct and got a cd with it with instructions etc.

I have just taken this for you..... any good? it isn't the best as it was on my phone

Yeah that's great, thanks angua2!
I know plenty of people who've made their own and they work fine, the rope I've got is sailing rope and is quite slippy.
Thanks chrisj for the vid, that's the one I whad been using to figure out how to make it!
If it doesn't work I will resign myself to buying a real one!
