Richardson Rice Cease Trading

I called Richardson Rice today to ask about some spares and spoke to a liquidator who told me they ceased trading on Aug 31st. He said they hoped to find a buyer, but no, I couldn't have a chest bar even with the serial number!

That's helpful. Have you tried any distributor for that make that might hold some spares in hand?
Or search on the part number - you may find one on Amazon or ebay???

My OH repairs trailers and he says search for Warwick Trailers and give them a try, they have lots of rice parts.

Oh no. We have a Rice Richardson and it's a great trailer. Perhaps it should have been made a little more shoddily and then there would have been a greater demand for spares! Such a shame. I remember when Rice were THE name in trailers.

But this isnt the first time that rice have gone out of business is it? i heard that they went out of business in 1993 and that they were owned for a few different companies until around 1997. I have a 1997 trailer and was hoping to get a brest bar from them

There's a trailer company in Glossop - Bespoke trailers - opened recently, they build to order I think?
