Hello,

I have had my Richardson trailer just over a year now after buying it off someone on the yard, I absolutely love it! It may be a bit scruffy looking but it's my first transport, I bought it with my own hard earned cash and I am embarrassingly proud of the faded thing.

It's also super easy, I can load on my own and manage to tow and it's super lightweight. My only issue is I now want to travel with friends and it doesn't have the rubber skirt between the partition and the floor, it is clear it used to but has been removed.

Has anyone got any ideas as to where I can get a replacement rubber skirt?

Any assistance gratefully received. Also I am new to the forum so please be gentle and bear with me!

Nicola

Do you need a rubber skirt? Has it got a half solid partition or just a bar? It is just that sometimes the rubber skirts cause more problems than they solve as they can frighten the horse. Just my experience. If the horse panics the skirts tear and there is even more problems. I have a Rice B60 and I am not really sure the rubber skirt is a good thing. They move and flap and can be a bit scary! The horse tries to spread his legs to balance and there is something there biting his legs. It could be a lion!!! You never know!!! It is possible why they were removed. They tore or were too scary!

I would be tempted to use decent travel boots plus overreach boots front and back if you are worried. Then see how they get on.

Sorry to jump on, but I'm desperately looking for a Partition for my Richardson Supreme Ultra if anyone has any suggestions? It's like trying to find a needle in a haystack and feel like I'm hitting my head against a brick wall 🫣

Rice went out of business years ago so parts can be hard to come by now. Do you already have a partition for it or did it not come with one? I would think you may have to ask a fabrication company to make one up, or wait for one to come up on ebay.

I don't have the rubber skirt in my trailer. One side was torn after pony had a loading meltdown so rather than risk further issues I removed it. Looked at refitting, but as it had been rivetted on it wasn't so straight forward.

Weve had several Richardson trailers over the years .My current one has lost the skirts and to be honest, I'm not bothered about it. I've travelled two together and it hasn't been an issue.

In the past, we've sourced rubber from eBay and my OH drilled holes in it and bolted it onto the partition. (Replackng the rivets)
