Hi everyone
On sunday we are taking our 14hh piebald gypsy cob for a family fun day as an outing for him!

It is only a bit of fun at a local family fun day and we are only doing it as a one off, entering him in the ridden coloured / piebald /skewbald class.

What tack should we use, and what should the rider wear?

We only have a synthetic dressage saddle unfortunately, and he is currently being ridden in a cavesson bridle with a fulmer snaffle.

Does he need a hunter noseband? Or can he have a cavesson. Also do we change the bit?

Rider was thinking beige jods, tweed jacket, black hat, black boots. What colour gloves and does he need a whip and spurs?

Thanks sorry for all the questions! Total showing numpty here! Cant afford to go out and buy things for a one off, so what is acceptable and whats a massive no no.

Thank you!

Your tack will be fine for a fun show, just use a shaped plain numnah rather than a dressage square.
Gloves plain brown, leather preferably but general riding ones will be ok, no spurs usually for childrens classes, a short cane or dark jumping whip should be carried. Tweed jacket is ideal with a shirt and tie, school ones are fine.

The main thing is to have the pony shiny and clean, the tack immaculate and to have fun without stressing too much.:)

For a local class, I wouldn't worry too much - it's more important that everything's clean and tidy and you have fun :)
