ridding after vaccs

Hey, what is the rule on riding after flu and tet jabs and why is this? i have heard so many different things

It used to be that you were not supposed to get them sweated up for a week after their jags but it's not the case anymore, I think they switched from live virus vaccination to the alternative. You're best to ask your vet if you're not sure though.

Our vet recommends that you can ride, but not to get them sweaty. Can't help with the why not though!

I usually give mine a couple of days off afterwards then light work for another couple of days. Any excuse for a spot of laziness.....

My vet said best to ride afterwards - a bit of light excercise as it stops any stiffness developing.

I read something in a magazine that the vaccines used to be diluted, hence the advice not to let them sweat, but they are more purified now so it doesn't matter if they sweat or not.

That is my understanding but I may be way off and its not something I'd like to be wrong about. I would always ask the vet while they're doing it

I dont think there is a rule to it nowadays. Personally I dont ride the day they have it and ride them lightly the next day, then back to normal.
