I just saw this advertised on a friend's facebook page and thought it may be wise to post it on here.

I think it is a fantastic gesture from these bikers. Every year I go to the annual service of remembrance at Runnymede RAF memorial, and there is always representation from the biking community. But horse riders may wish to avoid the areas concerned on the day (it's not just the one in Wiltshire, there are regional rides as well).

I am in no way connected with this, and actually am very much in support of this type of event, and our troops. But perhaps it may be a day to leave the horses at home unless they are completely traffic proof!

Thanks for the post (Actually I have no trouble with bikers 99.9% are great, slow down, and have manners...it's the "silent cheetahs" (Cyclists) I find a pain in the backside, whizz up silently never say a word even when you beg them to,and shoot off ignoring you)

And to those who ride for this cause, RESPECT.

Couldn't agree more. I think it is brilliant that they are supporting our troops, and remembering those who have been lost, in this way.

I was a bit worried that posting this may come across as negative. It certainly isn't meant to be from my perspective. But I felt uncomfortable knowing that this was taking place and not warning fellow horse riders of it.

I wish i could be there as I would go in full comp gear and stand in memory of our boys and girls afar - i love our bikers 99.9% respect the horse so I urge all who can go turn up on horse( if so so so safe lol) or on foot in riding gear to support our bikers in thier support of our ppl fighting abroad for us - just my words but i will have a quiet moment that day to remember - quiet with my horses and safe - thank you xx
