Has anyone got one and are they any good? Naughty racehorse has redeemed itself since trying to kill me on Friday but has a huge problem with flies which is ruining our hacking. I just wondered if they are any good and worth the money? Looked at a few on eBay but obviously the don't cover belly or head so not sure how good they would be and they aren't cheap so just after some opinions.

No idea but following with interest. My worry is that they would get hooked up on gates and hedges but my pony is being driven batty by horseflies when we ride and has nearly had me off a couple of times leaping around trying to get them away from him!

This is my issue he's jumping around so badly I've given up and all we do is ride in the indoor which is far from ideal. The other side of it here is it's too windy to go out and there's no flies and he's on his toes because of that I hate to wish away the summer but!!

I ordered one off eBay- can't remember what type but I'll check for you.

It's the type with a section cut away for the saddle. It has a neck and laugh belly isn't covered, the sides hang down a bit which I find keeps the flies away from her belly.

I only use it for hacking around our farm as we have a lot of horse flies in the trees, but so far I am very pleased with it.

Thank you might be worth a look then. They are going to be bad for another couple of months would you say? Never known it so bad at our place
