I am awaiting a jacket ordered before Christmas at Towerlands. I received a call on 2/2 to say it was nearly ready and paid by card at that point. Still waiting. I have done a bit of research and the company hasn't filed accounts for over 2 years and is currently subject to a striking off order. I suspect this might mean that it either has or is about to go out of business. When they won't answer calls or emails, it only adds to the suspicion.

they would usually be at pony of the year at towerlands which is 1-5 April if you not found out anything before then or you could speak to protector as crown are an agent for them so may be able to help with contact nos

I am having problems aswell, I ordered a show jacket and riding hat from Arena Uk in september . I recieved the jacket but not the hat. I have sent numerous e-mails with no reply. i am contacting my credit card company to seek a refund.

Oh crikey, I suggested them to a friend wanting a new jacket a while back. Just left her a mssg to say don't order! Hope she hasn't done it already.

It would be a real shame if they are in trouble, they have/had some nice quality products.

Sorry for posting this in both threads but im not sure which is the current one.

I ordered 2 jackets at Olympia, we heard nothing for ages I have repeatedly phoned both numbers the main number just has a full mail box the mobile has a message asking you to text or email them (the mobile is:07989 900893 the one posted here has too many 0 in it) they have not responded to messages or emails or texts so far other than once my wife got a text saying they were away and would call tomorrow which they did not do.

Then we received a jacket for one of my daughters last month which had the wrong design on it and was about 2 or 3 sizes too small. tried a barrage of contacts again and nothing no response.

I have been to companies house and discovered that they have not posted acounts since july 2006 there was a gazzet entry announcing the compulsory striking off of the company on 9/12/2008 and a susspension of the compulsory strike off on 4/2/2009

then again on 2/2/2009 another compulsory strikeoff in the gazzette and again it was suspended on 25/2/2010

this means that they are not posting accounts or a list of directors with companies house and they are some how objecting to the compulsory strike off and being given repreave so i guess they are for the moment still in business. However their customer service at the moment sucks I am about to try a final attempt at contact after which I am considering taking leagl action as well as contacting their local trading standards office.

What upsets me is they look to have been in some dificulty for a while and they still took a stand at olympia took everyones money and appear to have no intention of honoring their obligations, I have two very upset girls who were very excited about getting their jackets with their new horses name who are now looking like they will be totaly let down and short about £140

Hi,
I'm Kim Wallis of Crown Equestrian; we do and have always shown our home address for anyone to see 8 The Maltings, Thaxted, Essex. phone 01371 831526 if there is the old number it is a mistake, we work from home and all of our details are shown, check your last Olympia programmes so why anyone can't find us is strange, we have on all occasions as far as I'm aware satisfied all orders or refunded if requested I have postal details of all orders including those lost by Royal Mail or various couriers, I'm not saying we don't get things wrong over the last years I have done so much wrong I should have stopped going to shows some time ago a few years ago I became very ill if you saw me at shows you may have though I was drunk my speech can become slurred and muddled I have a rare illness called SUNCT syndrome my medication is extreme to say the least and it will never go away I have made too many mistakes letting me now know shows and me don't work . Never have we done anything to cause others harm or defrauded any customer, we have always tried hard to do what we can to make the dream of a bespoke riding jacket within reach of our customers, you will not find a bespoke jacket anywhere other than us where you can have one for £130 we do have more expensive ones but that is customers choice, see for your self others start at £250 some as much as £500 We have in the past taken on work where we have been let down ourselves, Bob cuts every jacket but we have them made by a factory we can sail along getting all orders out then we hit a problem the machinist who put in the arms is away ill, then the girl who sews the buttons on is off (yes our buttons are put on by hand not by a machine) then the presser is away, it's endless often while this is going on many occasions we had been at shows.

Ride Out is a trade mark for our custom / bespoke Show Jackets the trademark owned by Bob and I, Crown Equestrian our company, so that's maybe why there has been confusion, unfortunately in 2006 I became very ill although you will have seen me at a lot of shows I wasn't at my best to say the least I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy well maybe but just one we have one big enemy who has caused serious financial damage to us and lots of other people within this industry. He had previously not obviously known to us then been to prison for fraud and deception and now at last he returns there again but after a good few years, on Monday 28th June he attends reading crown court to go on trial again for fraud and deception you may all have seen IBM embroidered on custom made goods by us around the shows all be it for a short time as he got discovered reasonably quickly after about four - five months but not before he had had 3 months worth of work from us. Would you be worried about getting paid by IBM? We got paid for the first much smaller order then he hit us big time just like you see on the TV we have recovered some money but not before he did serious damage to our company and personally to some the amount was peanuts but we are just a little fish in a big sea and not ashamed to say it really did hit us hard could you manage if you lost 3 months wages the the recession started good timing wasn't it.

With my illness and all this happening we have decided to not attend shows
now we are stopping trading our riding jackets will still be made by at home by Bob and I will make the custom saddle cloths and rugs but from home obviously our work will be much less but we have learned health is everything we may still do the odd show we can't miss Scope.
Our address is shown above we have nothing to hide to be totally honest the only way I would like to attend shows to watch.

Our daughter has her own embroidery business so she does any Bronte jackets or saddle cloths I would say (not because she's my daughter) she is so good her work stands out from the rest by miles I have seen so much bad stitching and small logo's on jackets it is unbelievable often we have been asked if we are able to help and put other peoples embroidery right but of course we can't.
Portia has a web site Equestrian Embroidery but because she has attended shows with us working she says she will never go to one to work at one again, the advantage there is she doesn't have huge stand costs to pay so she is also able to do a much better price £49.95 for jacket lettering and logo. I'm sorry to any who feel let down by us.
I can say that because we are not attending shows I know the only work Bob has to do has been ordered within the last 2 weeks and will be finished within the next two weeks, we would like to keep making the jackets we have had so many calls asking where we will be next, if your not local and want a jacket we can send an email with a measuring guide and cloth samples by post.
Sorry if I have gone on but when I put Crown Equestrian in to up date details this came up first, I felt I had to reply and if your in your near reading court on Monday pop in and see the slimy crook but knowing him he will get it adjourned for the 3rd time, I haven't put his name because I don't think I can until first day of trial when it has become public knowledge, I don't want to give him any excuse to get off.
I hope this helps to explain the problems we have, enjoy the season and we hope you have a good one.
Kim Wallis

Have finally received my jacket, ordered on the 21st DEC 2009 and received 26 June 2010, not what i would call great customer service, also had to really fight to get the jacket out of them and was offered no compensation for the fact that it took 6 months for them to meet the order. i would not be using this company again.

I ordered a jacket at arena uk september 2009, received December 2009
with all iron marks down the front, I returned it immediately recorded delivery,
but despite repeated e-mails, phone calls etc. I have never received anything further I paid £130 for my jacket last September after having my lorry stolen with all our tack, clothes, passports, jackets boots etc.
Although I have some sympathy for their plight they should not take peoples money if they can't supply.
A year later after our bad luck we are only just getting back out not helped by having to buy another jacket and loosing £130.
I feel pretty sick too.
