(If link doesn't work it is on http://www.equestrianevents.co.uk/fset_horsetrials.htm )

That kept scaring me a bit as it looked like the horse kept getting real deep! Maybe it was just the angle.

Good vid though and very clear and amazingly steady actually

He yells Whoo Hoo! at the walker!!
Is a very good vid. H-J I also thought it looked like it was getting deep at most fences but jumped them fine! There was one near the end that it did deff get deep at though you could tell by the way it jumped!

I want a rider cam! Would be great out hunting! Though would have to have no sound on it!!!

That's really good! It's very interesting to see the course from the horse's point of view ie. when you haven't walked it yourself, makes you realise how good they are at sussing out what to do at each fence.

k9h you could do one out hunting over your stone walls and I could do one at the Melton Hunt Ride (bet my breathing would be a lot heavier than his was!) Or, can you imagine me doing a course on Ross, with his squeaking and squealing and bucking all the way round?!

wouldn;t it be great if the BBC saw that. do you think riders would be willing for helmet cam at the big events- badminton/burghley/ hickstead derby? i would love to know what it looks like at the top of the hickstead bank- and then be very thankful that I will never be up there!!!

I have a vague recollection the BBC did do that once at badminton or was it the Grand National? Can't remember LOL

Fanstatic video though, really enjoyed and apart from the little bit of wind, it was really quiet. Anyone know what level course it was, I think most of the numbers were pink or orange.

I think they tried it at Badminton a couple of years ago. If I remember rightly the camera's battery pack was annoying one of the riders as it kept swinging round her waist.

Would be great to see a full round of Hickstead/Badminton etc from the horse/rider viewpoint though, I'd love that.

Check out those smart plaits!

The camera cut out at one fence and didnt see the horse jump it?

I didnt find the jumps as scary as I thought I would.

I love XC, well not that i have done much, but what I have done I enjoyed!
