Hello,

I am about to do my first dressage test, but I haven't quite figure out what to do with my long hair( almost reach waist). Just very last minutes was advised shouldn't use and bobbie pins for safety reason. Have tried to put my hair inside the hamlet but wasn't quite enough room.
1: Which to use hairnet or showbow with little hair net under - ( hear some people were saying hairnet is more English and showbow are more western, is that true? )
2: Any advise and tips?

Many Thanks
:)

I'd plait it and ball it, lol, no honestly low pony tail, plait it and ball it and if u can get it into a net then I would :) my friends hair is the same length as yours and she finds this is the best :)

I use one of those hair donut things to wrap my hair around and make a bun. If you have very long hair though you could probably do it without one. I then put a hairnet over the bun (a blingy one recently!) and a white scrunchie over that. It looks like this:

If you don't like the bling you can just use a normal hairnet and a small bobble that matches your hair colour.

i put mine in a pony tail as low as possible, then put a hair net over my whole head, catching all loose hairs around the face, setting it back about 1inch from my face - so i dont get the pattern imprinted on my forehead :/, and then put the pony tail in the hairnet at the back, put a scrunchy round it to keep in place and so hair pony tail doesnt fall out of the net, so it looks like a hairnet pony tail......

no pins at all! and looks smart :)

Lam I HIGHLY recommend a thing called hairagami, I bought mine from Claire's accessories but you can get them online. They're incredible! My hair is ridiculously thick and long and it holds it in place really well and looks so so smart! Can't link as am on phone but well worth checking out! You could just pop a hair net over the top! X

I was thinking to use donut, however I wasn't sure how to secure the bun and the body of the hair. Thank you for showing the picture =)

I have thick, almost waist length hair. I plait it then wind the plait round into a bun, then put a hair elastic round that, put one hair net on bun, with another hair elastic round that, then put a second hair net over the bun and the rest of my hair. This is how I wear it for dressage and showing.

Re: PollyP I have checked the hairagami that you were mention and they seems to be able to give a very interesting patten rather than "plain" finish. Thanks for that
