My riders insurance ran out the other week and I am obviously wanting to get it again.
I was on E & L and mum and I both seemed happy when we got it out a year ago, but I have since read some threads on here saying E & L is the worst place to go for equine insurance?

Apparently they don't 'pay out' etc?

I was just going to go back on E & L but now I'm not so sure?
Over the past year, whilst under their insurance, I have only fallen off twice and haven't had to claim (touch wood I don't need to) so I haven't had experience of whether they are good or not.

So what would all you lovely HHOers reccommend? Are E & L really as bad as people say? If so, where should I be going to get good riders insurance?

If it makes any difference; I am 16 years old and do not own my own horse, but I do not ride in a riding school either (ride my friends pony on private land).

Thank you

Well the fact that some vets consider people with E&L as uninsured now would make me think bargepole! lol Go with the BHS membership or NFU are meant to be good for the horses but don't know if they do rider insurance

i wont touch e&l with a barge pole now, took a very very long time to get them to pay out after my pony had an operation, and they didnt pay the amount we asked for. we are with nfu and they are fab!! but BHS gold membership is also a good idea!

Oh god, I'm glad I didn't go straight back on E & L now Ezme!

I took a look at BHS Gold Membership as that's 3 suggestions for it now, and I think it looks quite good! So thank you

Any more suggestions are welcome, but I'm quite certain that I like the BHS Gold Membership
