Anyone insured with “The Insurance Emporium” for rider insurance?

If so, do you know if they would cover a personal accident, which was a fall of their own horse and ended up getting spleen removed, broken ribs, blood transfusion and punctured lung?

This is on behalf of someone and I have already tried to contact them, but they won’t give me any information.

I know in the small print it says loss of limb and death, but surely that’s not all they can cover.

I’m insured with them and they have been very good- however, if you can’t get the info. You want I’d go elsewhere.

Proper rider insurance covering anything less than loss of sight/ limb/ life is extremely expensive and usually only available connected with loss of earnings for a job. The cover you are reading on that policy is correct. All the other "household" horse rider insurance is the same.

Sadly, bad as they are, your friend is not covered for those injuries on an Insurance Emporium horse policy..

it IS likely to be all it covers, usually loss of eye too I think. Very limited cover, better cover would cost more.

Post the wording of what is covered in her policy if you have it snd can be more certain.
