He's a lovely horse, can't believe he's 21 now

Meeeeee! I am looking to do my first walk/trot test and 2 foot clear round sj. I reckon people at my local show may see it as a slightly unfair advantage

Lol

Whoever gets picked will be one lucky rider!! I still remember reading Horse and Pony magazine and seeing all the poster cut-outs of Solomon in his eventing days...

That's what I thought Nikki. However, I also do not have much of an interest in competing in dressage, if only Solomon was still doing eventing

I am tempted to apply but it depends on where he will stay livery wise etc. I can't afford to have livery costs for another horse and I do not have time to ride another horse 6 days a week. I am though only a 25-35min drive away and could get there 3 times a week....

I am very tempted to apply as although I don't exactly meet the criteria I'm close and if I don't would kick myself I think....

Hmmm. very tempting!!
Am also close enough to get there for a lesson say once a week.. i got the impression the 'winner' wouldn't incur any costs (ie livery)...
I'm not a member of BD, but would happily join for the chance of xx lessons with SC on KS !!!!!!!

Exactly MDS same

It says training and entries but doesn't mention livery and also I would have transport issues (my lorry left this morning infact!).

Hmmm I think some schooling is in order so can take some half decent videos (with saddle and bridle!!! LOL )

from the article i sort of presumed he would be staying where he is- livery wise- and the winner would travel there for training, maybe i am wrong
fab oppourtunity though, i hope someone deserving wins

Think i might just send in my Houghton Hall video.. they might feel sorry for me then!!

Ernie blows his top and can't even get the correct canter strike off... SIX times!!!!!

See boss thats the criteria I don't meet, I have competed to unaffiliated medium (as couldn't afford to affil both BSJA and BD) and was playing with changes with Dan just before his injury in addition to having ridden changes on numerous school masters but I have never actually competed at BD avanced Medium!

I'm thinking there can't be 'that' many people in the area that would 'qualify' though so what the hell wheres my video camera

I doubt there will be many people at all- pros are unlikely to want to travel to ride him and most ams either arent qualified, have jobs so will be restircted or are too far away....

To have competed at Advanced medium, yet still be in restricted will narrow it down to only a very small group of people.

Still a great opportunity and if I were nearer I'd apply even though I've not actually competed at that level yet!

See, i read that you need to be riding at that level, not competing at that level???

Therefore the fact that i'm (about to) be riding at Adv. BE level, could transfer over to the dressage of a sim. standard???

What is Adv.Med. level compaired to BE eventing dressage??
