my horses are fuly insured
ive got horses i ride for other people plus a loan horse so i want to take out riders insurance(some of the horses arent insured at all)
was just wondering who everyone uses?

iv got my riders insurance with petplan, i pay around £5 a month and its pretty decent insurance cover.

i checked loads of places on the net last year when i took on a horse to work with and they were the best ones at the time.

hope that helps!

I'm a gold member of the BHS and you get 3rd Party rider only insurance (SEIB) with that. I think it was around £50 last time I renewed. I think you also get rider insurance with BD membership. When I was younger my Dad used to pay for my insurance with E&L and I think over the course of a year it worked out about the same as BHS membership.

I don't believe that BHS membership offers protection of the horse or tack???? Only liability and life cover????

NFU covers the tack, the horse and the rider - thats unlimited horses and tack as long as you're not paid to ride them.

A new Horse Rider policy with the NFU Mutual costs approx £63 per year (over 16) and covers you to ride horses that you do not own or are not on loan to you.

The policy covers Custodial Liability (limits apply)

Vets Fees, Personal Liability, Personal Accident, Tack & Legal services as standard.

i think the petplan one also offers emergancy vet cover etc..?
i was a member of bd but as ive not been competing for a few years ive not bothered renewing it.
although now ive got this boy i will
