What jods do you wear?! I'm struggling to find any that can take the strain!! Anything with a full seat are a massive no no! I've tried Dublin pull on and supafit but they burst at the crotch seem within a month or so! Any tips?!

I have to say I've never had a pair of jodhs go at the crotch.

Without trying to be personal are you sure they fit you?

:D lol!!!! sorry!!

Am used to riding a TB so when it came to backing my xtra wide cob i had thigh and leg ache for days! i only walked her round for 10 mins!
 at least she takes up the leg though....am 5ft10 and shes 14.1 - 2 but shes so wide that she gives the impression of being bigger!!

I had Katie Price breeches which have lasted me two years now without a problem (apart from I broke the zip the other day -gutted-) and i've been riding anything from a 12hh show pony to a 18hh clydie and still in good nik! :)

my last horse was very wide and used to pop the stitches in the crotch too. I simply sew them back together and they are fine then.
Sometimes the stitching isnt very good on new jods but I havent yet had a pair i've repaired rip again.

(was gutted after i fell over and put a whole in the knee of my fav pair, but some thread and a needle later you'd never know)

I have two very wide cobs and haven't had any problems with jodhpurs. I usually wear musto snug jods and these are a bit like leggings, very stretchy.

Yes they're big enough! I even tried a size larger than normal but I just spent my time pulling them up before the seam burst!! I've tried restitching but the material gives way not the stitching! I usually go for cotton stretch ones maybe to need to try a diff material! Or buy a narrower horse!!

pikeur :) swear by them :) and they cost less per wear than cheaper ones i'm sure - my first pair still look like new 3yrs down the line - esp considering i wear them as much as poss (ie only wear others when pikerus are in wash) and always wear them for training etc
just invested in some comp ones and LOVE them - again def worth the money

My cob is very wide, and I ride in Loveson jods, £18.00 in the sales! I did buy a size bigger than usual, and they do stretch quite a lot - they are a cotton mix - bit warm for summer really, but no signs of stitching going (yet lol).

Both mine are very wide and I have never had a problem with the stitching going. In the winter I have Ariat powerstretch pullons which are like musto snugs and a the moment I wear Ariat Tek denim jeans which are really comfy. Sometimes ride in Per Una stretch jeans too which are fine.
