Morning, after experiences of sacral fracture recovery please!
Background is I had two fractures 11 weeks ago. Both stable. Have kept active throughout (naturally, you know, horse people!). Been having physio for about 6 weeks and back in the gym on low impact stuff.
Been back in the saddle a couple of weeks. Walk fine, sitting trot OK (I do have a seat saver), rising trot stings really badly just to left of sacrum. In physio she had me doing sit downs and the standing part is really painful.
Mostly otherwise it's OK, as long as I'm not slouched back on it on sofa or lie on my back in bed.
How long did it take for those of you who had it to recover? I think it's more ligament than bone now as it's not mega painful to palpate so thinking I need a really deep sports massage.
I broke my coccyx many years ago and it definitely didn't take this long!
