Ridgeback experts

This thread is a couple of months old but I've met three (different owners) and all three are/were dog aggressive. It's not a breed i'd personally pick.
 
I have found them all quite aloof and hard headed.
Not really what I'd want in a house pet but good guarding dogs in farmyards.
They're aloof with people they don't know, but turn into excited little puppies when they see folk they do know. When my Son, Daughter or Dad come into view, Kobi wags his tail like it's about to fly off. General members of the public, he doesn't really give them the time of day.
