So we recently moved yards and we love it. It's far more 'farmy' than where we used to be and that's fine, we like that. However one of the farm dogs has taken to doing his business right outside my stable door. It's obviously unpleasant, very easy to tread in it as it's not a very bright light barn, it stinks, and I just ugh hate it. Is there anything I can use outside the stable that is also safe for horses around that area? I know for gardens there are the high-pitched noise things but I assume horses would be unhappy about those. There seem to be sprays etc. but I'm not sure what is safe for horses. Obviously I don't just leave the horse unattended outside the stable (in the area in question) for long periods of time so he would really ingest anything, but I do sometimes just tie there for a few mins if needed, and so would like to be sure there is no risk.
Any bright ideas?
(hopefully you won't all tell me to move yards, we love it there, the horses are happy, the dogs are actually really lovely, I just don't want the mess right outside my stable!)
