Ridin one handed tomorrow

Brother had op on hand two years ago and surgeon said three months off riding......as soon as it wasn't painfull ( two weeks in) he was back on board riding one handed.

hho can turn out a search party for you! ;) im sure some lovely ladies will come and find you hugging your lampost!
cant spend more than 4 days off a horse :) nothing like a good gallop....or bronk!

God beans haha bet tht hurt ! Yeh takin Mav on the stubble field :) good gallop

Known my luck I wil end up face plantin the frozen floor haha

good luck! i have a friend who takes his bsja very seriously but he also loves to hunt, he broke his leg below the knee but the following week he had important qualifiers, so he just painted the cast black and drew a zip and laces onto it and went and jumped anyway (a 1.20 class  ) the judges didnt notice or didnt care, but he came first and qualified :D you'll be fine :)

I carried on riding and breaking in stallions for two weeks after breaking my pelvis xc.... In the two weeks i also cracked my brow bone and dislocated a finger. I decided to have a few weeks off when my leg started to go numb woops! :p

OMG dont know how you managed that! I was in plaster a year ago with a broken wrist, that was so so painful, along with the kick on my leg. I must be a wimp!

its pretty amazing what we do to keep riding our horses! yet i bet if we didnt have them wed take weeks off work!
did a dressage test last weekend with a hand that been in plaster for 4 weeks and concussion from falling off the day before...suprised i remembered the test!
i like the black plaster idea! be remembering that one :)

Same when I got kicked last year....wouldn't do any of the breakers for a week as I couldn't get my hat on due to the swelling and strips being in the way, but got straight back on my own ones with the theory, my face was ****** anyway! :o

Loving the painted on boot story!!!!

I don't think I've ever seen my dad ride a horse using two hands...he's never had any problems with either hand, just seems to have one arm over there somewhere, and one hand on the reins! Hasn't caused him any trouble!

Doctors don't really know that horse people are not good at taking time off!

hehe ive been told to not ride for another month yet! (casts come off)......well i went riding 3 days after i got the cast on......what the doctor doesnt know doesnt hurt him.......

although it was quite funny what he said about why i shouldnt ride!
'the horse may pull your hand'....i didnt mention the falling off...twice on to said hand and head... thought it wouldnt go down to well.
