Hypothetical question.

What’s the secret for someone that is used to riding ponies to switch to a bouncy horse and not fly out of the saddle in trot? Is it teqhnique or fitness?

Getting your balance and getting used to that particular horses way of moving. If you are riding the horse frequently, it is something you will very quickly become accustomed to.

Agree with Alex a horse will always feel more bouncy if they are hollow and not in a soft outline, having bouncy Arabs I know having a strong core and a good seat helps.

Not sure on your fitness, but that plays a huge part. Ponies to horses shouldn't take too much of a transition, but some horses are a lot 'bouncier' than others so it is not necessarily just the fact that they are horses not ponies.
