Riding a horse on antibiotics?

My horse has just been prescribed a 5 day course of antibiotics for some scabs on his sheath/lumps. He has being referred to a dermatologist. I realised as the vet left that I had forgotten to ask whether I should keep riding him!! The scabs do not cause him any pain.

The only times I have had antibiotics prescribed before are for things that would prevent riding anyway eg wounds, illnesses etc, so I guess I haven't had to think about it before.

What does everyone else do?

My mare was prescribed antibiotics (3 day corse) for a lump on her nose, the vet told me to keep riding and do things as normal

I still rode when my mare was on antibiotocs. She was no different.
