Riding after Lletz treatment

I'm just after some advice and support really as you lot are great :)
I had Lletz treatment last week for cin 3 abnormal cells after a abnormal smear and as it was a very widespread area plus I bled a lot which they found hard to control iv been told not to ride for a month :( I obviously will do as I'm told and am now nervously waiting my test results. Anybody had this done and had to wait this length of time
 
Hope your results come back with the all clear and you are not too uncomfortable x

I don't have first hand experience, however I know us horsey people feel like we are invincible! I would certainly consider your Doctor's advice, but if it were me I would consider riding again once I felt fit enough really :)
 
I've had it, also for cin 3 - can't comment on the riding, but I just wanted to say don't worry too much about the tests; the treatment is good and they will have been really thorough, so try to concentrate on getting well as soon as you can and look forward to riding! Xx
 
I would listen to them. I had it done in August, and although I didn't ride, I still ended up over doing things by lifting things, running about and found my self in a lot of pain, and then an infection. Take it easy. I also had a large area removed. However they don't think they have got all of mine so I may end up having another one. Good luck for your results

This, I had the same as above, pretty much my entire cervix is gone and it will affect natural childbirth for me, bled very heavily but kept moving gently which helped ease pain. Well, I think because I kept moving it was just discomfort...only became pain after long periods of being still.

Please don't worry about the results, they'll have removed more than necessary so you'll hopefully get the all clear really soon.

As for the riding, certainly listen to the doctor for a week or two at least before trying anything too much. You know your body.. now is the time to listen to it.

I had this treatment about 20 years ago. And I'm still here.

I rode, but you should listen to your doctor and your body.
 
I read this thread a week or so ago, little did I know I'd be receiving a letter from the hospital saying I need to have one done too. Going next Monday. Trying not to worry, but failing, can't sleep with worrying about it and I'm tired and grumpy as a result. Husband is trying to be supportive but he doesn't know what to say. Roll on next Monday so I can get it over and done with 😢. Then I'll probably not be able to ride for a few weeks, gutted.
 
I had treatment for CIN 3 in August. I bled for about 6 weeks afterwards but was back riding gently before then. I had to be careful as you aren't allowed to use tampons after treatment and I find pads not that great for containment.
I was absolutely terrified and the waiting for final results was excruciating. Mine took about two weeks and I got an all clear. I have to go back for a follow up smear in February. Happy to answer any questions about my experience if anyone has any.
 
I found the treatment fine, not at all painful although I could feel a bit of rummaging about. It is somewhat like a smear but takes longer, only a few minutes. You will get a local anaesthetic and I was able to see what was going on with a TV screen although I am sure they would turn this off if you didn't want to see. I wasn't in pain afterwards and my bleeding got no heavier than my normal periods. For me the waiting for results was by far the worst thing, the actual treatment was fine.
