Just seeing if anyone has had wrist surgery and can give me an idea of how long it was before they rode again I'm 5 weeks post op still in cast but really want to go out for a little walk ride on our tracks I had a radial shortening of the bone with metal plates in so quite a big procedure but I'm going crazy I'm so used to riding every day 😅

I think you need to consider the damage that could be done if anything happened, and what the long term effects of that would be... I'm a scrub nurse and I can tell you that it wouldn't go down well with your surgeon if you fell off and damaged it - please, just don't. Give it the time it needs to heal, I know it's excruciatingly dull to not be able to ride but you'll kicking yourself if you do anything to it!

Yeah my mums a nurse they know I have been using both hands as long as I'm not using it too hard or lifting heavily this is my 4th plaster cast in 10 months as they wanted to try other options before they operated so it's very very difficult when I have my horses out my window and I can't do anything except watch 🙈
