Riding after the dentist - how long to leave it

It was just a quick file, nothing drastic at all. I thought he'd be all right for a bridle tomorrow wouldn't he? I would obviously watch him and be sure he seemed comfortable with his bit before setting off. I wasn't there so couldn't ask the dentist.

my dentist says as long as its a normal rasp you can ride straight after

I always make a point of riding before the dentist so that he can see if the bit (or my hands more like) are causing any soreness.

Yard had dentist visit yesterday and was asked same question and they said no probs riding same day.

our whole yard got done couple weeks ago and everything that just got rasp/tidy up was ok to be ridden same day!

He has to be sedated because he must have had a bad experience in the past and is afraid of the dentist so for that reason I will leave it until tomorrow, but that seems very clear. HHO consensus!

If it was just a routine rasping, I would just give them the day off on the day then go for a gentle hack in a snaffle the next day.
