After passing my stage 1 last week, I now need to take this so I can book my stage 2. I don't want to be an instructor, I'm just doing the stages to learn and challenge myself!

Now, I haven't had much road experience in the last few years, but a few years ago I used to go on massive hacks at the weekend. I was always confident on the roads with positioning and signaling etc.

I'm hoping to do at least a days training at the place I'm going to take the test, and squeeze a few road hacks in before then. I'm hoping that will be enough!!

Anyway, I was just wondering what other peoples experiences have been and any important tips?!! Thanks!

Hi! Good luck with that, it's not too hard really. I passed it at the age of 12. Just remember to breath and look behind before you do anything - signalling, turning, walk - trot, trot-walk etc. Revise your signs & highway code, and you should be fine.

I was thinking as I drove home tonight that maybe I should put in for my stage 2. I had forgotten about the road test! Maybe next year...

Thanks for the replies everyone! It feels like I'm about to put in for my driving test again!

mirror signal manouvre!

I know what you mean drjames, it's a bit random!! Ah well, only another hoop to jump through! I want to get started on the stage 2 stuff now, but my local RS class is full with a waiting list. I pretty much taught myself stage 1 so looks like I'll have to do it again!
