Ok,

New boots are on the list!!

I currently have the Mountain horse, thin leather ones, that have lasted just over a year with everyday use.
I will prob keep them for hacking/horseball/messing about but I need a new set of "best"

Any recommendations/ ones to avoid.

I will be doing some sports horse showing and mostly dressage in them so nothing too OTT please!

Thanks!

I have these De Niro Boots : http://www.equiport.co.uk/products/...ng-boots-and-chaps/caprice-riding-boots-dn04/

I was lucky got them for half price at Badminton 2 years ago but I would happily pay full price for them. They required no breaking in as the leather is so soft. I wear them every day as they are just so comfortable and they still look good as new when I clean them. The crocodile skin bits aren't nearly as visible as they are on the website. I like them as they are just a little bit different but aren't blingy or too out there.
The one thing I would say is go for the tightest pair you can mange as the leather does stretch. I didn't and now I am going to have to send mine away this winter to be altered at their factory as they have become a little loose on my leg.

I have the Ariat leather field boots, and they're the best boots ive ever owned! So comfy and they look like they were made for my leg :) They retail at £249 but do come up at horse events a bit cheaper! :D

I have had Sarm Hippique for about 12 years, only warn for shows and lessons. They still look fab and its only that I wanted something different that I replaced them. I will probably sell them on or keep them for every day.

I replaced them with these Parlanti which I love although they dropped a bit more than I would have liked and I saw some De Niros that I could custom after I got these but still happy with them.

I also have these in brown for everyday, are taking a bit of breaking in but then I have hardly ridden since I bought them at Olympia last year. Very good at keeping my leg in a good position.

The first 2 took no breaking and and are beautiful leather.

Happy to splash the cash :)

I prefer the laced look versions as im my head the others just look like the rubber ones you have as kids!

Just over two weeks and mine should arrive! CAN'T WAIT!! So excited :) :)

I think if you're paying £400+ for a pair of boots, you may as well get made to measure. So what, you can't try them on, but they will fit you!

I had made to measure as a kid and they never really fitted!
