My trusty Dublin river boots are finally, after almost a decade, reaching the end of their lives which I am most upset about. I have some Ariat contour boots and hate them (too stiff, zip comes down when riding in spite of keepers, persevered for a year and they never "broke in" as people kept telling me they would). They are now a very expensive ornament in my boot/utility room lol.

Any recommendations? I'm quite short but would prefer tall riding boots, ideally something I can clomp around the yard in too so I don't have to change boots as soon as I get on/off my horse! I'm not particularly flush at the moment but don't mind investing in something high quality that will last. Half debating getting another pair of Dublins but suspect their long service was a freakish one off from what I've seen online!

Mountain horse sovereign 100% if you’re short and slim in the calf you can get away with ordering the teen version & save about £100-£130 off full price 🙈

ETA they’re a bit more “official” than what you might be after but I find them so comfy I don’t change back into my wellies after a ride anymore!

Thank you, I will have to see if any of my local tack stores stock these - I am blessed with tiny size 3 feet so I might actually be able to get away with this!

If you know you fit Ariat, I’ve found their sizes to be the same across their range. I have the Ariat Bromonts for kick around long riding boots and they are comfortable and have been super hard wearing.
