Opinions on a nice pair of new riding boots (dressage), there are so many out there now I'm not sure which to look at. Wish list is:

* Tapered in at ankle
* Zip From top to bottom.
* Long lasting
* Made to measure
* Fairly stiff
* High cut 'tops'
* Really top quality
* Shiny!

I bought some Koenigs last year and I love them. I always said I would never go down the zipped boot route, but OMG - they are fab. I am 5'6 and size 10. I ended up with the short wide fitting, so the longer you want them the better.

hmmm i've seen the sergio's and they did look good, but have seen the konigs and they did take my interest. Any particular make??

Amage I've never heard of Palantis'. Where do you get them from?

Oh and how much would I be looking at for the Sergio's and Konigs??

Mine (although cheaper) are great. I was able to ride properly from the first time I rode in them. I had a problem getting my spurs on as I couldn't bend my knee enough to reach my foot, and getting on was also slightly problematic as I couldn't lift my knee up. But once on the horse, they were great!

Rigali Ricchi are affordable and the style I have are comfortable with high tops, I find they are particularly good as I have long legs. However I happened upon a pair of Mountain Horse, not the chunky ones, the ones designed to go with the stirrups (don't have those though!) and have to say they look the biz too, use them daily.

try Petrie they are so somfy love mine to bits www.equicare.co.uk have them on sale I think if you don't want to spend much at all then The Just togs ones are good for the money had these myself until mum bought me the petrie ones.
