Riding boots - Saxon Equileather?

My current pair of boots has just died after a year of use - that's a record for me since I've been working at my yard. The situation is that I spend the whole day at the yard and walk alongside kids all day while taking them on mini-hack type things. I don't have time to change boots between riding and my first lesson so it has to be something safe for riding and reasonably comfortable for walking. Over the winter it is ridiculously muddy and despite pretty good care, my mountain horse rider boots now have cracks in them.

Does anyone have Saxon Equileather boots? Are they more flexible to ride in than the £10 rubber long boots? and can you just clean them with water as I used to do with my rubber long boots or what? are they reasonably comfortable?

Any other recommendations appreciated too. Bear in mind I've been through a pair of Ariats, a pair of Mountain horse Stable Jodhpur boots and a pair of Mountain Horse Rider II boots, none of which have survived very long!

I've got the long ones and they're absolutely brilliant! You just wipe them clean and they're really comfy, plus you don't have to wear them in!

only thing that went wrong with my first pair(sent them back and got another pair) is that the zip pull thing broke and i couldn't undo the zip, but it hasn't happened on my 2nd pair.
 
Would say definitely yes!My friend just bought a pair and was doing dressage to music comp this afternoon.They looked great.Didn't even know they weren't leather to look at.Laces at front are a nice touch.
 
I think they're fab for the money. I tried some on and foun that I needed a smaller size as my normal size were too long and baggy in the leg (I'm 5'5). But they felt comfy and definately worth the money.
 
I have gone through 3 pairs in 5 months. In all of them the zips broke and although I got an exchange each time they never lasted longer than 6 weeks. I personally would go for something a bit more expensive unless you have small calves and remember they do not stretch.
 
I am on my third pair of these boots. Every pair of these boots that i have had, have had the zip broken. The first pair went within a month, the next pair on the second use. Luckily the shop that i bought them from have bben extremely helpful and replaced them, but if you want some trouble free riding boots, try the Ariat Bromont tall. Beautiful, comfy and frankly, quite realistically priced.

i had a pair of saxon boots because i have chunky thighs and they came in a wide fitting.
any way when i got them they fitted really well so i wore them around the house to wear them in. but when it came to putting them on with my jods the zip went!!!
so mine lasted total of 3 hours and i hadn't ridden in them:(
