Hi all,
Just wondering whether you think my boots are too shabby to be doing some unaffiliated dressage in? They're kind of baggy around the ankles these days! They're Harry Hall something or others, can't remeber the name.
Personally I think they are very borderline, but if you lot say they're ok I'll save my money.
If not.....which long boots with zips would you reccomend, or alternatively boots and gaiters. Budget limited, though must be fairly ok leather.
Thanks!

Sorry pic isn't great, it was really hard to find one!

As long as they polish up OK they will be fine to start you off (with a tweedy jacket), you may not look as smart as some, but it is an accurate and well ridden test they are marking, not a fashion show

My boots are shabby as I am too fat for my good ones and determine to loose weight and get back in them, and I do aff dressage and eventing. The judges have more to look at than your boots [or so I hope]If you have te money go for it if not just compete and when you have won enough money you can buy a pair[I am riding in a gp saddle and think I was the only one at the winter champs in one but I don't care my horses are great]

Have already bought the most GORGEOUS hacking jacket last week. Brand new 100% wool with £148 price tag still attached, for a whole £38. I love ebay!
Am doing my first 'normal' horse stuff for years and years, and am having to buy everything, even down to not having a pair of jods, or a suitable pair of gloves

Look a tad baggy but if they clean up ok should be fine unaffiliated.
If you want some smart ones, Robinsons do a long leather boot with a zip for £70! Got them as a spare when others had new zips and now wear them all the time!

They are called Requisite high top or something

Although unaff. I'll still look awful, with my Wintec 500 and old flash strap for a balance strap. And I've got to remember how to plait! My horses have all been hogged for the last 5 years.... eek!
Lets just hope the horse makes up for it all
