I'm a large busted lady and am desperatly lookinig for a bra i can wear riding that will not leave me with two black eyes! Has anyone got any reccomendations? I have a shockadsorper (sp?) but no joy, still noticable bouncage!

Thanks in advance!!

My massive knockers are kept in place with a Freya sports active - the one without underwire. Love it - sooooo comfy just need to buy about four more!! At the moment I hate washing it because I have to ride in something else! Oh and it washes well too.

the best thing Ive found (32FF) is to wear 2!! A crop toppy one and a sports bra underneath. slight restriction on breathing but absolutely NO movement!!

Also wearing a tight vest top / tshirt on top decreases black eye-ness!

wow, thanks guys! i wont be sweating buckets in a bodywarmer trying to disguise the girls then! :o yippee!! I'd better start saving up! You guys rock!

I've always had shock absorbers and found them to be brilliant. I still have two old ones that are "hanging" in there!! My new one is a 32G because I got bigger and it is great(the bra, not getting bigger!). I definatly find shock absorbers on the small side though. I am now 32H (pregnant, so probably even bigger), was fitted earlier this year(bravissimo) and rode in normal bras (for a while), which was ok. Amazing what just a well fitting normal bra can do! Always have underwired non-sports bras, the support is essential.

Almost certainly bigger now but just can't face a J, thats just going too far!! I have always made an effort to be properly fitted (because of unrelated back issues)so perhapes you just have the wrong size? It is easy to buy the wrong back and cup size in the various makes, bras are so complex to make, there is variation within one size and one make/model as well. Maybe you are like me and in denile over your size, refusing to buy a bigger cup because "it just can't have happened!"?

I was a 36J when preggers (21 years ago!!)

Sorry, don't really have anything to suggest but I am very interested in people's opinion on this - I still need to find my ideal in a 34G. At the moment I mainly use M&S sports bras, which are ok - but I too need less bounce! I will be watching this thread!

Loika - you are totally right, i have changed weight, the trick is i have crohns disease and can drop it all again in less than a week! I have three different sizes in bras and clothes! I just cant get measured every few weeks as i change sizes yet again! So long as i get a good make, then i'll buy my usual sizes and hope for the best!

Don't ride in a wired bra, could cause an injury in a fall. A good non-wired sports bra will give more support and be more comfy. I'm an f or g depending on make/cut.

I would also not bother getting fitted anywhere but bravissimo. Anywhere that measures you is likely to get it wrong, the best way to do it is by trying lots on, and remember that you will be a different size in different makes and styles.

I'm a 36F and I have an Enell bra, its amazing! Would never buy another sort now. It's really comfy and there is minimal bounce.

or this ^^^

I have both the freya and the Enell. I would say the enell is less flattering but also more bounce reducing. Both are really comfy, both wash well.
