Hi,

I owned my own horses and rode for other people for many, many years and then went abroad to work for a while. I'm now living in London and would like to start riding again though at the moment, can't afford to buy a horse (yet!)

I'd like to know your views on which is the best riding centre in SW london to go to. The problem I have is that I was so used to having my own horses and competing, etc, I'd really like to find a place where although I know it would have to be for lessons/hacking, would be able to meet my needs as a competent rider who wants to 'get back in to it'.

The other problem is the price: I can't justify £90 for an hour's flatwork and jumping - even though it's private, that's a much needed £90 towards my buy a horse fund!

Anyway, any suggestions/recommendations would be great.

Thanks!

Lara

Why dont you share something, and have lessons on it? That way you get to ride, enjoy, and have lessons on something that doesnt do it for a living.

i would agree with the above - chances are you will get a hell of a lot more for your money, and get to build that 1-2-1 relationship with the horse as well

Thanks everyone for your messages - I'm hoping to find a horse share although I work Mon-Fri so not sure what's available but I'll keep searching! The thought of £90 per hour makes me feel quite ill!!
