What happened to all of the riding centres for lessons?
I remember when I was a kid I could go to tons of places for lessons. I guess it’s just cost prohibitive to run.
Due to a series of unfortunate events Im probably coming back to around Newcastle next week after 15 years away and figured I’d try to see if I could have a private lesson or two to see how English and North American riding is different (curiousity more than anything). Now the only place even remotely close is Pockerley and they don’t have an indoor arena which isn’t great for Jan weather (although I could be misrepresenting since it would be typical to ride in an indoor here this time of year).
Everywhere I knew as a kid is either private boarding or has shut down completely. It’s such a shame.
