Magic, Roxie and I went to Chobham & District Riding Club camp at Boomerang this weekend and had an absolute blast!
Friday:
Arrived in the afternoon to settle in and go for a mini hack around the XC course which is really cool, with a very Australian feel, along with a rather large elephant in the middle
Magic usually lives out and settled in really well with lots of hand grazing.
Saturday:
Dressage lesson in the morning with Nikki Kerr where we worked on suppleness and bending without me over-using my hands. A really useful exercise to get Magic really stepping under from behind was to put out a square of poles and walk around in the inside of them as close to the poles as possible- definitely an exercise I'll try again at home.
SJ lesson in the afternoon and Magic was flying! The fences were mainly animal themed which you can't really see from the video, but we had a giraffe, zebra, duck, butterfly and an elephant.
Sunday:
Sunday was XC day and I woke up hungover and a little nervous but once I had clambered on board the nerves were forgotten and we had a fabulous lesson. I know we're not jumping big, but we're having fun.
Roxie had a great time at camp and I think she liked her first camping experience.

I'm so sad it's over and want to go again!
