riding club horse / ridden hunter?

what would he be best in?

Do you have any ridden pics? From that I'd probably say riding horse but can't really see how much bone he has.

You could do both - they're quite different classes but he'd be fine for either

I'd go for the Hunter class. He seems more like a type you'd see out hunting than doing RC activities.

he used to hunt before i got him, lord knows how he survived, hes scared of his own shadow

if its just a local show then do both if you want to build his experience, but i think he is more of a hunter type looking at the ammount of bone he has.

Ridden hunter is more his type. You could also do working hunter if you are both up to small jumps.

hes not long back in work so not sure if i will have him up to jumping in the next few weeks, my saddle will not arrive till next week

Riding club horse should be any horse that can do a little bit of anything - I've seen it won by a heavy hunter and a fine little thoroughbred at different shows. If he works and nicely, then there's no reason not to both. Most people do either riding horse and riding club horse, or ridden hunter and riding club horse at local shows

Do you know his breeding? I only have the Irish side (not the TB) of mine - Shauna's Gem I think it is, I will have to check.

nope, i have no idea, just know he is id x tb, was born in Milton keynes and is 15 this year

They are very handsome, we pick a good horse!!

Although mine sounds a bit like yours, bit of a silly sod

Paddi is 10 years old, I have no idea where he was born, I'm guessing Ireland! he is registered as an ISH, but only a pet ID no formal passport.

It's Ravelrig ...... do as much as you can fit in / your horse is fit enough for. Lovely, friendly show (have ridden and judged there). He looks more like a hunter to me, but I assure you there will be plenty doing both classes, no-one will mind in the slightest. This has always been one of the best local shows for friendly, constructive feedback from the judges.

Have fun (I might go with one of the novices if weather ok)
