Riding Club Peeps.....whats the rules??

Thought it would be easier to ask you guys than trawl through the rulebook!!

What are the rules with regard to competing with Riding Club on a horse with BD points? Basically, I have never ridden BD, would like to start at prelim obviously, but don't think I can as have a "retired" chap that has competed at advanced medium. Hasn't competed for the last 3/4 years...do I have to downgrade him.....can I not complete him at lower levels????

Any help would be appreciated.

In RC qualifiers, and without downgrading, you can not compete prelim, you can do novice if he has 124 or below, and ele if he has 199 or below (from memory).

Thanks...thought that might be the case. Think I will have to look into downgrading him as he has more than 199 points and I'm not good enough to ride at that level. Perhaps, I'll just poddle around in the school and admire him in the field, might be easier!!

if you don't wish to down grade but do wish to see how you are going you could always go HC, ok no winning or money etc might i might be a good alternative before hitting the more advanced classes
