We had a bit of a mixed day, first my water container broke while I was carrying it, so I got soaked. Nearly lost the Princess trying to load her as she beggered off down a track, luckily YO headed her off! Then she broke her lead rope. Anyway, drama's over, we arrived at the showground. Entered for the 75cm & 85cm single phases, though some of the fences look rather large!Bit worried about the fillers, so gave her a walk past the scary ones on the way in. Lovely over 1 & 2, related distance to 3 with a filler, but that was no problem as Princess obviously had her brave pants on!
Nearly lost where no4 was, but cleared it, long one to 5. Another big scary filler at 8, which looked quite big!
Backed off 9 a bit but just about got over it!
Then over the planks at 12 to finish on 4 faults after having the first part of a double down.
We finished 6th, so got a nice frilly
Onto the 85cm, biggest 85cm I have ever seen!! Change of course, so my plan was as no10 looked so big & scary to retire after 9 (yes I am a wimp, but wanted to finish on a good note)
I rode like an idiot to a plain upright & let her get far to flat so she took the top pole off.
She was going well & felt confident so went to try 10, she backed off a bit, I actually remembered to kick instead of freezing, got a dodgy stride, but she jumped it, just tapped the front pole off, really pleased though as she could have stopped at it.
more planks at 11
Then a double to finish at 12, first part:
Didnt place with 8faults, but so pleased she jumped everything! Cc welcome, but please be gentle, this was our first proper jumping show instead of novice baby shows.
