Riding Clubs in Northants/Bucks (also in NL)

Hi all

I want to join a local riding club again after not being part of one since juniors, when I was with Cherwell Valley, but they're a bit far to travel.

I'm based near MKEC so I'm thinking I can choose between Rockingham Forest RC in Northants or Aspey Guise RC in Bucks, as I think Stony Stratford RC has ceased now

are there any others around?

So yeah if anybody has any insider info on training/venues/comps etc that'd be really helpful as all the websites just want you to join them (quite understandably lol) so I thought maybe some of you guys might have something else impartial worth sharing to help my decision?

Fwiw I have one youngster who would benifit from regular clinics and one experienced jumper who'd be useful on any teams which didn't involve dressage

Rockingham Forest are good too. Lots of training, a brilliant competition venue at earls Barton, no "selection" for teams, everyone welcome.
Stony Stratford (if they are still going are not an affiliated club
Aspley Guise and Rockingham forest both have websites, so have a look at both to see which you like the look of. Of course you can join both, but you are only allowed to compete for one.

Thanks for your replies! I'm thoroughly confused now as Buckingham Riding Club also train at MK which would be the most convenient but I know the least about!! I'm just going to email of all the secs asking my questions and see who replies the nicest
