Hi
I'm now bringing my new horse back into work after mild lameness and as I'm relatively new to the area I'm interested in joining a riding club so I can take her out and about and educate her further whilst making some horsey friends myself. I'm keen to get going with the ned and am expecting delivery of my trailer in about 5 weeks time. Obviously my mares soundness is of paramount importance and I don't want to rush her, but all the same I want to know that there could be a nice club close by that I can join!
Thanks for reading and thanks for your advices!

The two I know and would recommend are Carleton (dressage & Jumping) and Harmony (dressage). Both are based South Norfolk and I have found them both to be friendly and supportive to new members. Not much will be happening until the spring but both have websites. Also have a look at the Horsedates website, it"s the best guide to events and you can soon find out the local clubs and venues from there. Good luck!

I'll second Thurston and District Riding Club... although not a member, i've been going to/helping at their shows for the last 13 years. Many of my friends are members and now i have transport have every intention to join properly... Nice thing about them is you can go to club nights without being a member, so can try before you buy kind of thing...
