Can you join a riding club if you don't have a horse?

If so what can you do with the club? I'd love to join one to make more horsey friends and learn more but am worried I might look even sillier than usual.

Also. Is there one in Milton Keynes?

You certainly can. It will mean you can join in the social events. However if you volunteer to help at the competitions I would imagine you will be welcomed with open arms.

It depends on the set up of the riding club. There is one near me that you have to have you own horse, and it is not based in a riding school, but there is another that you can join without a horse, you get one of the riding school horses for your lessons and comps etc.. so i think it depends on where the riding club is run from. Hope that helps!!!

Yes you can! And there are lots of opportunities to help out at events (they are always desperate for volunteers), go and watch training sessions, help on the committee, etc, etc, as well as social events. You will find you will be welcomed with open arms if you can help and it is a really good way of getting to know people.

There is actually a Milton Keynes riding club. I'm in Keysoe riding club which isn't too far away.

Look on the British Horse Society website and click on Riding clubs / how to join / find clubs.

Milton keynes is in area 7
