Riding Clubs

I went to compete at a dressage comp run by a riding club a couple of weeks ago and decided that I should join one so that me and the monster can get out a bit more and try some different things. I just have a couple of questions that i'm sure you lovely people can help me with!!!

Firstly, can you join more than one?
Secondly does anyone know of a good one! My horse is based Esher way.

You can join more than one...but can only compete on RC teams for one club

have a look at BHS website...they have all riding clubs listed by area.

Thanks - have looked but the one that put on the show I went to aren't there! What does that mean?!?!?!

That they're not affiliated to the BHS?

So does that mean that they're not any good? I was reading that you get some insurance and bits with BHS affiliated ones. I'm so sorry to be so dim!!

Esher in Surrey? We are in Chessington/Claygate and the most recommended riding club round here is bookham rc. Everyone is very friendly and they organise lots of lessons and shows etc.

If they're not affiliated to the BHS, then they can't enter Riding Club qualifiers. Doesn't mean they're not any good though.

But you don't get the 3rd party insurance (and free quarterly magazine) if they're not affiliated.... but I agree, doesn't mean they aren't any good!
