My daughter who is two next month really needs some riding equipment as she is MAD about my horses.. Mainly needing a hat and jodhpurs. Does anyone know where I can get really small ones!? I've had a search for hats but can't find any her size.. I've measured her head and just above her eyebrows all the way around is 20cm, all of the hats I can find are a minimum of 45cm?? Not had a look for jods yet but if you could point me in the right direction I'd much appreciate it :D

My 18months old wears a Charles Owen 00 and it fits her ok. Fractionally too big if I was being fussy but fine if I do all the head straps up considering all she does is walk on the leadrein! I was a bit dubious about buying her a hat (seemed a bit pre-emptive given the cost versus her age) but she absolutely *adores* her 'horse hat' and wears it all day, every day - round the supermarket, to soft play, in the car. BEWARE of the monster you may be creating with a riding hat LOL. I know you can buy 000 size hats which are really tiny, but can be harder to track down. Best thing to do is to phone round the local tack shops and ask if they have a 000 in stock. Failing that pop up to a local riding school and see if they have one.

I also have a small pair of jodhs that I was given as a present when she was born. I think they are age 3 but they fit ok if I roll them up. Not that I can ever really be bothered to put them on her!

I know you can get johd boots in size 4 upwards from a company called Chipmonks but they are expensive. Derby house have them in size 6 and upwards on sale at the moment.

Thank you so much for that! My local tack shop has one which fits her but they was £55 for it!!!!!! Which was not really willing to pay if I could find something cheaper. She wears my hat around the yard, although it's way too big for her and covers her eyes lol she still loves it :D

Might add when she's down the yard with me all she wants to do is 'Sit, mummy, sit!' I have ridden around the yard once or twice with her in front of me on one of my horses, but she really is in need of a hat now she is getting more involved!

We have a gatehouse air rider for both kids which are fantastic as you have a dial to adjust size like some bike helmets. Means they grow with the kids. Not sure tho how small the smallest setting goes to. My daughter (just turned 4) has jodphur

But often just has some leggins on with chaps. You get them really small. Got a few from eBay. Most kid stuff 2nd hand us in good condition because they grow out so fast

When mine were two, the only thing I bothered getting was a hat, size 000!

We had some little Chipmunk boots and a couple of tiny pairs of jods that were hand-me-downs. I recently sold the jods at a tack sale and replaced them with some bigger ones at similar sales.

Here she is @ 2
