Dear all,
I am currently conducting a research project as part of my Sports Coaching course. My chosen subject title is Too hard to ride? The problems facing riding establishments and private horse owners.
Below is a questionnaire please ensure you copy and paste the questionnaire into your text box and once youve added your answers submit it to the forum.
Also as a formality this is for a genuine academic project. Any answers posted may be used, anonymously, within the body of text however all answers will appear in the appendix. So please ensure genuine and sincere answers only.
Riding establishments and instructors
Q1- how long have you been established?
Q2- what do you consider to be the biggest threat to your establishment?
Q3- what do you consider to be the biggest threat to riding as a sport?
Q4- what type of riding do you offer? (Delete non applicable)
Lessons within an arena. Lessons in a field (not XC). Hacks/treks. Jumping lessons. Cross country.
Other:
Q5- what are the legal stipulations before a client can ride? E.g. hard hat, body protector, disclaimer etc.
Q6- what does your insurance stipulate before a client can ride? E.g. hard hat, body protector, disclaimer etc.
Q7- do you feel these stipulations are ruining or making it hard for you as an establishment to continue practice? Or for new clients to enjoy the riding experience?
Any other comments;
Thank you very much for your time, Lzzie Warner, Bath University student.
