Hi all,

Xmas is around the corner and I'm hoping that Santa will get me a gilet suitable for hacking and light school work for spring and autumn weather (the kind when its hot for a coat but too cold for just a t-shirt).

So I've browsed the web and come across two gilets the Shires Ladies Montreal Waistcoat and
Horseware Corrib Gilet, both seem to fit my bill but was wondering if anyone has got any experiences of either gilets or could further recommend me that are:

1). MUST have front pockets with zips, deep pockets are better but not essential, 2). Maybe be a bit waterproof but again not that essential 3). Not to big and bulky and preferably to fit around ladies waists :P and 4). Ideally no two way front zips but again not essential

Thanks for any help :)

I've got a Musto one which is very smart and seems to tick all the boxes, except I *think* its got a 2 way zip (Q: why not a 2 way zip, just interested?)

Also an old Puffa, not so beautiful or so fitted, but v warm and no 2 way zip.

Its because Ive had two way zips before and never really liked them so just makes my life easier :p but if the gilet ticks all the other boxes then I will consider it :)

Thanks for the replies, keep them coming :)
