I need a new riding hat and want the lightest and most ventilated one, to be used for hacking schooling and jumping... anyone recommend any in particular?

Alot comes down to fit, I tried Harry Hall, Just Togs and Champion but none gave the right feel. Troxel have a good reputation & a friend loves hers but I don't have anywhere local to try one on for fit. So I stuck with Charles Owen and upgraded from the young rider hat to the Ayr8.
It's not cheap but it's comfy and gorgeous. Before if I did a schooling session I would get off and have a really sweaty head (ewww I know!) but now I don't, it does it's job really well and is smart enough to wear at comps too.

Yes i thought the troxel looked very light and well ventilated but i wasn't sure if they would be adequate enough for jumping (if falling off!)?

Troxel gets my vote too. I have a funny shaped head and it has a great adjustment system. They all have a proper safety standard so must be strong enough to protect your head if you fall off!

I've got a Troxel hat and love it! As said above they are made to meet the correct safety standards and it's really comfy. I bought mine brand new from Ebay and because they're adjustable by a few centimetres you can get a really good fit. Plus they come in cool colours!
Would definately recommend them
