Riding hat recommendations please

I am getting a new hat for Christmas from OH. Problem is when I try on on the shop they seem fine but I have a £170 mistake going mouldy in the shed a JTE cos after half an hour or so it used to hurt my ears!
I have always found the Harry Hall hats comfy but my last one isn't competition legal. You never know I may get around to that dressage career! Advice please!

I found harry hall comfy, now love my Charles Owen 4 star.

Depends on the shape of your head. Some are more round, others oval.
Charles Owen are my favourite so comfy

If you buy a hat from a reputable fitter you can go back and have it altered if it later proves to be uncomfortable. Padding does squash down a bit over time and a proper fitter can correct that.
