Hi guys, just wondering if anybody has a bit of insight…
I bought a brand new hat back in January, as I was coming back to lessons/loaning. I went for something I perceive to be safe and a good all-rounder — a Charles Owen MS1 skullcap with MIPS. It fits really well and is comfortable… except for the fact my head gets so hot and sweaty in it. I’m not sure if this is because of the MIPS lining, which is essentially a layer of thin plastic, or if it’s because I have very thick Irish hair, even though it’s cut neck-length, there’s a lot of it. The hat has ventilation but the yellow plastic inside has condensation on it after riding. I’m just thankful I can remove the band inside for washing!!
Perhaps I just run hot and there’s not much I can do about it But has anybody had this issue and found a different hat, such as a slimmer peaked style, helps? I hack 3 x a week and have 1 lesson most weeks in the school. No notions of competing etc., but am getting back into little jumps.
Thanks in advance for sticking through the essay!
