Riding Hats-Which one to buy??

Does anyone have any recommendations on riding hats- I need to buy a velvet-peaked hat and a skull, i know i will have to have them fitted but there are sooo many. I do like the idea of the HS1, with the extra safety. Any thoughts and recommendations gratefully received!
 
Well, I'm a Charles Owen girl. They fit my head perfectly and they can take a battering. I fell off twice and hit my head both times with my CO Pro II skull (LOL, please don't flame me, the helmet is now in the bin!). I have a velvet Whitaker helmet (I think it's called the Wellington Classic now) for shows but am going to buy a Fiona to replace my skull cap for everyday riding. I would never buy anything else.
 
I recently treated myself to a Lock & Co Hickstead velvet hat - it fits perfectly and I love it.

Didn't intend to buy one but saw them at CLA gamefair, tried it on and that was it! Almost scared to wear it incase I fall off!!
 
i have a charles owen pro II and i love it, not had it long but its so comfy, love how the actuall skull is coloured rather than just black, i got a silver one :D
 
another charles owen fan because they fit my head.

the only thing i would say is dont set your heart on a particular hat, try a few on before you make your decision incase you have a round head or a oval one, deep/low crown etc.

mum has a just togs one, and it fits right circumerence wise, but sits perched on top because it just isnt deep enough at the crown.
 
Most people fit either a charles owen or a champion
I have a champion ventair skull its amazing comfiest hat ive ever tried on and keeps your head cooler than a normal skull
 
I have a Charles Owen J3 that I love. Nice and low profile, so you feel like your whole head is protected, black (I really don't like all these fancy silver, gold and pink ones that are about) and the leather harness is nice and comfy.

I've tried a few others, but they just aren't as comfortable for me, and the higher profile ones felt horrible!

Although I am looking for a vented now as I'm doing more and more jumping - I still have my lovely velvet Charles Owen for showing! :)
Cracked my head a few times in Charles Owens (replaced each time) and full believe they saved serious injury
