Sorry self indulgent post ... OH is treating me to a holiday at Castle Leslie equestrian centre in Ireland! There was an article about it in HHO, it looks fabulous, we'll be having lessons in the mornings then hacking round the grounds in the afternoons (1000 acres with 300 XC jumps!), maybe going to the spa afterwards to unwind .... wooo hooo!!
Was a last minute decision to take some time off work & I'm really looking forward to it.

sounds fab. i'm trying to organise a riding holiday in ireland at the moment, but no-one seems to be e-mailing be back with details. i dont think my finances can quite stretch to castle leslie unfortunately

I went on a riding holiday there a few years ago, it was great. It looks like the place has had a revamp from reading the H&H article, and I would certainly go again if I had the time and the money.

I don't know how you are getting there, but one couple who were booked on the same week's holiday as me didn't turn up for a few days. They had got a taxi from Dublin airport and asked for Glaslough (the name of the village) but there is more than one place with that name so they ended up on the south coast of Ireland rather than in Co. Monaghan!
 
LOL, think we will fly to Belfast and hire a car, or may do the car ferry, mind you we will probably get lost ourselves when driving round!
 
I got the car ferry to Larne/Belfast and drove from there, it didn't take long. I just wanted to make sure you didn't do what the Costa Rican couple did!
