I'm looking at going with my daughter this year for a week trail-ride. Have seen something in Albania I fancy, but only just starting to look around really.

We are both competent, experienced but not advanced riders. (Keep up with hounds, and take jumps as they come, but wouldn't get around a novice eventing course unless the horse knew what it was doing!)

Has anyone any experience to share (good or bad).

My daughter recently went on a riding holiday in Albania. She went through Unicorn Trails - the Ancient Pathways. She really enjoyed it. She was the only Brit with French, Australians, Swiss and German. Let me know if you want any particular information.

You will find the cost much lower if you do not need to use an 'agent', but just book directly with the stable and arrange travel independently. Bon voyage!

This is OK if you really know where you are going.

Someone who sells Ranch holidays in the USA said to only use UK approved places as some of the ranches he had been to were pretty grim.
